We teach our floral design students that their local farmers market is a great source for fresh flowers. Right now, locally grown flowers are abundant, affordable and beautiful! If you buy near the close of the market, you might score some deals, too.
The Los Angeles Times newspaper recently started a new interactive project that shows its readers where all the farmers markets are in the LA area. You can search for markets by day of the week, zip code, city or by market name and then…add to the database by sharing your favorite vendor’s name, what you like to buy there and what the best deals are at the market.
