It’s hard to over­state how much we love flow­ers. Here are a few shots of some flow­ers you may or may not have seen. And a cou­ple ideas on how to arrange flow­ers you love but in a new way!

A trip to San Diego for a TV Appearance

Last year Kit and Casey appeared on Fox5 San Diego to pro­mote being the design­ers for the Amer­i­can Grown Field to Vase din­ner at The Flower Fields in Carlsbad.

We were hon­ored to appear again on Fox5 San Diego last month to pro­mote the din­ner this year with a new design­er, Car­ly Cylin­der who did a great job fea­tur­ing the Cal­for­nia flower farm­ers in her take on the out­door din­ner party.

Casey showed the morn­ing host this year on Fox5 how choos­ing the right vase for your flower designs makes a big dif­fer­ence in how the flow­ers will look and how many blooms you’ll need. She fea­tured all local­ly grown flow­ers from Pin­cush­ion Pro­tea to Ranun­cu­lus to Tulips!

After the show, Casey and her fam­i­ly took a side trip to the Flower Fields to drink in the sun­shine and won­der­ful flowers!

2017 Field to Vase Dinner Tour

The Amer­i­can Grown Field to Vase Din­ner Tour is a series of inti­mate, must-attend gath­er­ings that place sea­son­al, local and sus­tain­able Amer­i­can Grown Flow­ers at the cen­ter of the table where local­ly grown food, beer and wine are served by a farm-to-table chef. Flower Tool: A Substitute for a Corsage Box

When in the mid­dle of a wed­ding sea­son, it’s easy to run out of cor­sage and bou­ton­niere box­es. In a pinch and in need of a lot of cor­sage box­es, Casey found her­self in our local Smart and Final store and bought a ton of the clear sal­ad 8x8-inch con­tain­ers.  These are called: Clamshell Hinged Plas­tic Con­tain­ers. These are an excel­lent choice for bou­ton­nieres and cor­sages — as well as the ever-grow­ing pop­u­lar flo­ral crown!

• You can fit 6 bou­ton­nieres in one large sal­ad box — great amount for a set of groomsmen.
• An entire full flo­ral crown fits in the larg­er box and it’s not crushed.
