We con­tin­ue to “trav­el the world” in flow­ers by teach­ing our stu­dents flo­ral designs inspired by dif­fer­ent places than Los Ange­les. Being of Irish her­itage, Casey instruct­ed the class in a “green flo­ral land­scape” design. We are still teach­ing out­side our stu­dio due to Covid-19 pre­cau­tions and as long as the weath­er is fine, we’ll con­tin­ue to hold in per­son class­es in our pri­vate lot.

We said good­bye to one of our stu­dents who is mov­ing out of state. It was the last class for a dear stu­dent who we called “The Guy” who came to class­es in per­son at our stu­dio, at The Hunt­ing­ton Library and vir­tu­al­ly. His designs improved so much over the years and we enjoyed teach­ing him every step of the way. We loved his lit­tle flower gifts he would bring to us to share and his inter­est­ing sto­ries about his life as a bal­let dancer and human rights lawyer before retiring.
