We continue to “travel the world” in flowers by teaching our students floral designs inspired by different places than Los Angeles. Being of Irish heritage, Casey instructed the class in a “green floral landscape” design. We are still teaching outside our studio due to Covid-19 precautions and as long as the weather is fine, we’ll continue to hold in person classes in our private lot.
We said goodbye to one of our students who is moving out of state. It was the last class for a dear student who we called “The Guy” who came to classes in person at our studio, at The Huntington Library and virtually. His designs improved so much over the years and we enjoyed teaching him every step of the way. We loved his little flower gifts he would bring to us to share and his interesting stories about his life as a ballet dancer and human rights lawyer before retiring.
We wish our wonderful and long-time student The Guy: “Slán Leat” which means “Safety with You” in Irish.
