A Virtual “Field to Vase Dinner” Experience Comes to Your Home
This year sees a gradual reopening of things we’ve grown used to having at our fingertips up until March of 2020 when everything closed down. We were delighted to hear that the Flower Fields in Carlsbad (which were closed last year) were open for tours this year!
It was with lots of fun anticipation that during my kids’ spring break, we drove down the coast to visit The Flower Fields. This land is owned by Ecke family and farmed by Mellano & Company. Each year acres of colorful Ranunculus are open to the public to tour and take lots of photos.

Last year (2020), it was closed due to the pandemic and so last year’s “field to vase” dinners that also take place on flowers farms throughout the country were cancelled. Casey and Kit were the floral designers for then 2nd Annual Field to Vase Dinnerat the Flower Fields in 2016. It was a great experience and the food was fabulous. While we cannot experience the “in-person, in-the-fields-dinner” in 2021, American Grown Flowers is bringing back the “Field to Vase Dinner Tour” but in a virtual fashion. You have three price points to choose from to experience the Flower Fields. Here is the information to sign up!
